2 Years Fully Booked and 3X Project Value - The K.D Tattoo Story
How Kfir Dahan went from a $3k/month day job he was afraid to leave to two years fully booked, 3x project value, and $24k in a slow-season month.
By Greg Gelf
Kfir Dahan was the first tattoo artist we ever worked with. He reached out to us in November 2024. At the time, we didn’t have a “tattoo artist program” - we built the earliest version of what would become our process around Kfir’s specific situation.
Kfir is a modern-day samurai. Calm and calming. Quiet in words, but very loud in actions. A real man.
He was the first tattoo artist to reach out to us, feeling he was ready for the next level. He already had his style, happy clients, and reasonable prices. He was ready for more, and he knew the value in developing the business side of his art.
What Was Working, and What Wasn’t
Kfir’s biggest problem was not doing enough projects of the type he wanted. The reason for that was not having enough inquiries for that kind of projects.
Our impression was that Kfir had his style mostly figured out, so the problem at first was mostly a marketing one. We had to create demand.
The Strategy - Learn the Best Clients First, Then Attract More Like Them
We thought about which clients did the best projects. Then we started learning about them.
We ran ads that resonated with that type of client specifically - and paid close attention to what happened next.
After a few months, we had a huge realization.
Building the Empire
At this point, we managed to grow bookings to a point where Kfir was closing more projects than he could do per month. We scheduled two to three months ahead.
Because we were constantly working with similar clients, over time we found a pattern that revealed the deep psychology behind Kfir’s best clients.
Brand Evolution
The big growth point happened after over six months. We decided to center the whole brand around the perfect clients.
We didn’t just talk to them. We became what they strive to be. We represented the values they believe in.
This worked only because Kfir’s character as a person supported it. No one else could do it this way. Some tried to copy but failed.
What Actually Worked
We understood Kfir’s ideal clients so well that they just knew he was the right artist for them.
We explicitly excluded everyone else. Clients loved it and it made some noise.
After enough repetitions and stability, we increased session prices almost 2x while growing project size and staying overbooked.
In the last 12 months, Kfir’s weakest month generated $20k in revenue.
Results So Far
🏆 2 years of stable full bookings.
🏆 Profit per project 2X.
🏆 Project value 3X.
🏆 Bigger average project size.
🏆 Indestructible brand positioning.
🏆 Followers grew from 4,000 to 12,500 and counting.
🏆 Monthly revenue up from $10k to $23-27k.

In Kfir’s Own Words
Translated from Kfir’s WhatsApp message to us:
“If only I could go back 4 years and tell myself, when I was afraid to leave a safe $3k/month job - that if he chased his dream, he’d bring in $24k this month from just 15 tattoos during ‘slow season.’
I really appreciate you for this journey. Trusting you and jumping into the deep waters of Meta was one of the best decisions I ever made.“
Appreciate you, Kfir 🤝
What This Story Actually Shows
Same lesson we keep seeing across our artists. Kfir already had the art, the clients, and the character. What was missing was the marketing that would put him in front of enough of the right people, and then the brand work that turned “the right people” into a specific type of client he could build the whole business around.
Once those pieces clicked into place, the same artist produced a completely different result.
